Good morning Bomo class! Just to let you know about a change for Tuesdays. Rob is now going to take the class in the mornings (instead of Novi) so you'll be in A1:14. I will still be teaching you but I'll now see you in the afternoons, from 12.30 til 3.30, room A1:06 (unless I can find somewhere with air conditioning & the programs). See you tomorrow!

OMG! It worked! Though I still can't comment on Jill's post :(
Today I'd like to see comments about what you like or dislike with blogs; and what you found easy and/or hard.

Must say I find it very annoying having to do a "security check" every time I post a comment on any of your "posts". Totally understand the necessity - but still annoying!
OK, so here's another program you might find interesting:

bit.ly/flamepainterlink

This is great for making a one-minute work of psychedelic art or just killing some time, it's a program that lets you "paint" and save the eye-popping flashes and slashes of light you'd usually only see in time-lapse photography.

Try it and let me know what you think!

Alternative Sites for photo editing

We all know about Photoshop www.adobe.com

How about trying www.sumopaint.com or www.gimp.org

Tell me what you think?

INTERVIEW RE BLOG CONTENT

sme_bw2010_chris_garrett_v2 from Michael A. Stelzner on Vimeo.

Today we continued on with our photos from Flickr and Photobucket and created slideshows in Slideflickr; Photobucket & Slide (where we can use the photos we uploaded to Flickr & Photobucket). We then added these fabulous slideshows to our blog and onto our Wiki page.

We also learnt about ISO (which not very helpfully stands for International Standards Organisation ???) but is really all about light sensitivity. Took some photos in the different settings then compared them.

In Photoshop, we had fun playing around adjusting our White Balance images from last week through the Image menu - looking at the changes you can make using the Autocolor setting as well as Shadows/Highlights; Variations; Posterize; Gradients; Black & White; Invert and Photofilter; and combinations of the above!

Saved our wonderful creations in our Portfolio folder and posted some of the more spectacular ones to our Blog and onto our Wiki page.

NB Don't forget, if you need to change the date in your blog go to Settings then Formatting

Flickr & Photobucket

I agree with Colin re speed - Yes - it is SO frustrating! And then when it crashes...You certainly don't want to be in a hurry!

I will also add that I tried to post this comment onto Colin's blog (and in my own blog) but again was prevented so am just making a general comment as to the frustration levels trying to use this new media software on old media hardware invokes!

FLICKR/PHOTOBUCKET
In either or both these sites, add 10 of your favourite shots from today's White Balance topic into a SET or ALBUM.

See you next week!
